At first sight, the Hunter Valley would appear to be an improbable place to grow vines. Its challenging terrain and climate make it a difficult place to cultivate vines. However, LINDEMANS® has long recognised the potential of the region's rich volcanic soils. In fact, Dr Henry J Lindeman first planted his vines in this region in 1843. He persisted with his vision to create classic, long lasting wines that were representative of the region. 

Today, the LINDEMANS® Hunter Valley range of wines enjoy a reputation as some of Australia's most distinctive wines.
